First steps

This summer, I'll be traveling to Uganda to work with a group of people invovled with malaria prevention and surveillance. I'll be working with a joint group made up of people from UCSF, the Ugandan Ministry of Health, and the Makerere University's health program. It promises to be interesting- I've never been to Africa before, and I don't know anyone there. It'll be fun trying to make contacts and friends...

I'm planning to only post events relating to the trip, so updating will be spotty until I actually leave the country.
